The Duck Commander Faith, and Family Bible Review

Duck Commander Faith and Family Bible

I've been a fan of the program Duck Dynasty from Season 1,  and a Christian since childhood.  I have to admit, this particular edition of the bible, in the beautiful language of the NKJV has the best of both.  The Television show is all about Family, and Christian Values, and along the the entire NKJV text, it also features:

Full text of the NKJV Bible
A personal welcome note from Phil and Al Robertson
125 articles on the top 24 most searched topics on BibleGateway
Life application and scripture references supplement each article
30 days of life changing testimonials
     Topical index and reading plans

It's all inclusive, and easily comprehended!  Also, at the end of each book of the Bible, enjoy "On The Hunt"  testimonials and heartfelt stories from Phil Robertson, the patriarch of the family, and his Son Al Robertson.  The font size is manageable, even for someone who normally wears glasses.  I recently saw a pretty funny but true meme on social media the other day, with the statement  "It all started with men with beards a long time ago, now over 2000 years later, these men with beards are carrying on the tradition"

I highly recommend The Duck Commander Faith and Family Bible wholeheartedly, They didn't change one word, but wow do their words speak to you.
Did you ever wonder about the Happy Happy Happy saying?  it's a variant of Psalm 144:15  "Happy, happy, happy are the people whose God is The Lord!   (extra happies added)  That's from the inside front Jacket, and it only gets better.
What a great Christmas gift this would make for anyone!
In closing, this, also from the inside book jacket:
Phil and Al Robertson put the hottest topics in their crosshairs as they, drawing on a combined
sixty years of studying the Bible, shoot straight about love, grace, divorce, money, parenting, temptation, and much more.  Armed with insight and application, your hunt for a deeper richer Christian life begins
here.

The Rimpitch Acoustic Guitar Tuner

Introducing an all new acoustic guitar tuner from Korg!  The Rimpitch Acoustic guitar tuner!  Having used various tuners over the years, there's always drawbacks to most of them.  The bigger ones didn't fit in the case, got left at home, or a gig, etc.  I've used many kinds of clip on headstock tuners too, very accurate, but sometimes hard to get it on the right spot of the headstock to get an accurate reading.

One of them had a belt carrier, and I had the misfortune of reaching down to find the holster empty!  Yes, forgotten at home!

Korg has solved all of this with the new Rimpitch Acoustic Guitar tuner.  It attaches directly on the edge of the sound hole of your' acoustic guitar, and the only time you really have to remove it is to change the battery, which so far has carried me through many days of tunings.

High-brightness LEDs are used for the tuning meter and for the string name indicator, ensuring excellent visibility even on a dimly-lit stage. - See more at: http://www.korg.com/us/products/tuners/rimpitch/#sthash.KKThbiZk.dpuf

I'll be sticking with the Rimpitch Tuner, it's virtually unnoticeable except from your' position, and a simple press of the on/off button gets it started, and the peizo electric pickup gives remarkable results on tuning of your' guitar.

With a suggested retail price averaging about $24.99, it's easy on the pocketbook as well.  Get yourself a Rimpitch Tuner by Korg today, online, or in a fine music store near you!

Recollections By J.R. Cash - Childhood Memories of Johnny Cash, a heartfelt labor of Love by Johnny Cash to his youngest daughter Tara Cash Schwoebel is now available for purchase, published by Arkansas State University. Tara gave her father a journal with questions to answer each day. It's a heartwarming look at the love between a father and daughter that you won't want to put down till you finish. What a great idea! we all should do this with our parents before it's too late. Humorous at times, with pictures, and illustrations. I highly recommend "Recollections" to any Johnny Cash fan, in fact even to those who aren't fans. Tara kept this prize understandably to herself for many years, no doubt looking at it often, and living precious memories of her father, and his love for her. It's a spiral bound 112 page book, reprinted in Johnnys' own handwriting. You can get your' copy from Amazon, or recollectionsbyjrcash.com. Also available at the Johnny Cash museum in Nashville and the Dyess Community center where he was raised and his boyhood home was restored. This Cash fan gives it five stars. Thank you Tara for sharing this intimate look at a father/daughters love for each other. It's an essential part of any Cash collection. There are many books about him, my favorites are his two autobiographies "Cash", and "The Man In Black", and for completeness, The Robert Hilburn Book "Johnny Cash, The Life", and right at the top, now I'll include "Recollections" It doesn't get any better than this folks!http://www.amazon.com/NEW-Recollections-J-R-Cash-Childhood/dp/093067703X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1411308309&sr=8-1&keywords=tara+cash

Axe Handler guitar stand

As a proud owner of an "Axe-Handler", I have to say it's awesome beyond it's design. No more clumsy stands that could be knocked over, or get tangled in wires. Simply place the Axe-Handler on a flat surface high enough to support the neck of your' guitar. It cradles the guitar, and the special design on the bottom keeps it from slipping off (A dreaded fear of any player). I had my doubts at first, but after receiving mine in the mail, I'm totally convinced. Key points 1. fits in guitar case, or pocket, 2. Has a slot for extra guitar picks 3. Can be used nearly anywhere there's a flat surface, on top of amps, tables, you name it. 4. The quality of the item is ingenious, weighs more than you'd think, and durable as all get out, I can't imagine how you would damage one of these babies! 5. Great value, for the price, it's an incredible investment in the safety of your' instrument. 6. Great for the amateur or on stage player. 7. I've used it for months now, and numerous times children have bumped my guitar playing, and the Axe-Handler kept my guitar from bouncing (something you never want to hear)

Be sure to check out the "Strings Out" version as well, this, the original is designed for leaning the guitar with the strings facing "in" whereas the SO version is just that, strings out. Your' preference, both test well, and give you that peace of mind about your' guitar when unattended. Axe-Handler S/O Guitar Stand (Strings Out)
The ChordBuddy Guitar Learning system is an excellent package for would be guitarists, even folks who have tried and given up will be pleased at the ease, and simplicity of picking up a guitar, and being able to play right away. With four major chords, Em, C, G, and D all brought down to just pressing a button to make each Chord. The guitar, available separately was also a pleasant surprise, as most beginner guitars are difficult to play, with the strings being too far off the fret board, leading to sore fingers, not the case here, you can play with ease, and the sound is amazing compared to other guitars in the beginners range.

With included song books, instructional dvd, and clip on tuner, ChordBuddy will have you playing and singing standards right away. As your level of playing increases, you simply remove tabs from the Chordbuddy off of the guitar, till you're playing conventionally making the chords on your own. There is no age limit on learning how to play with the ChordBuddy, Travis Perry has made music easy for all ages to learn.

As an experienced musician, I learned the old fashioned way, mostly self taught, but would have been light years ahead had this been available to me way back when. There's even a Chord Buddy Jr for ages 4-8 for aspiring young guitarists.Give yourself the gift of music and order the Chord Buddy today! Click Here: The Chord Buddy
